Today my class and I went to lake Ngatu to plant 1000 plants. The plants were cabbage tree, mānuka,kānuka, flax, karaka and houpara. To plant all of that took us just over an hour. The summit forest and bushland trust was a very big help for us . The reason we planted was that we have been learning about rainforests and trees so it tied in with our learning to also help our community. When we got there Karen came to tell us what we will be doing after that we got right into it. Me and my friend were the first to plant. We pumped about that after 2 hrs of planting. We were DONE then we went to have a picnic and then headed back to school. That was the best day ever and a memory I will never forget.
