You are Wanted!

 In  Te kahu we made posters about being wanted for being a follower of Jesus .We did the qualities they have and picture.Here is mine hope you like it.😀

One rainy day I fell to the ground at the point where the River Thames starts.

I woke to the rain pounding on the river. I Took a glimpse of a stone marker snapped in half. The grass had  died but was absorbing the rain. I did not know where I was doing but I made it to the Upper course. It was AMAZING! From the cloudy sky down to the green grass. The water Was Stained moss green.

I took a quick nap but , I Guess it wasn't a quick nap Because I woke to a place with Brick huts People called home. A big long bridge FOR humans to gaze at the water was reflecting their beautiful selfies. Trees still there were following me! 

I was distracted by the olive green trees.

 I did not realise I had made it to a foggy Dock. 

There were boats ,Kayaks and much more. I watched a Boat chugging Through the sapphire blue water towards  me. It knocks me up on the path, I feel dosey so I take a quick nap…

I wake up in a city way bigger than the last place . People were screaming, it petrified me, I heard the word London so I  Guess that's where I was. THE sky was peachy pink. I closed my eyes trying to sleep but I couldn't. AT last I did and woke up in the sea. IT was gorgeous! So what did I do? I lay there and slept thinking about it. How could a little raindrop like me end up here!

In class we have been learning about Rosie the raindrop.The activity we did was we got 6 places Rosie travels to. We write down the starter then the problem then how it was solved!

weekly reflection (week 6)

 This week i helped at the canteen for swimming sports to help funraise for camp in November,Our class also got split up on Thursday because our teacher had a meeting i went into pukeko which is year 2. 

Something i really enjoyed was tech because i have been working hard on getting my box done and i am now up to glueing it together.

Something i found challenging was the maths because  i didn't really understand it but then i got it but stilled struggle a little bit.

I have worked towards my goals by listening really hard and trying not to get distracted Next week i'm gonna try to use harder vocabulary in my sentences.The value of Mercy means to be supportive and there for people when they are upset I have shown this by letting other play with me when there upset including everyone and always checking up on people to see if there alright.

I am looking forward to st Josephs day this week and dressing up as workers.

week 3 reflection

My highlight of  my week was Ash Wednesday because we got the ashs on our forehead to forgive all our sins and i also got go to tech for the first time!

Something i found challenging was freehand drawing at tech because we had to 3D draw for freehand drawings and I struggle with that.

Something i want to work on next week is my backstroke in swimming because i struggle trying to stay in my lane when I do it.

I showed mercy when i gave Hannah my towel at swimming because she was cold.

I am looking forward to swimming zones next week on Friday cause i have been working really hard!

week 2 reflection!

My highlight for week 2 is getting into Special character team because i worked really hard trying to get in.something i found challenge this week was the spelling test we had. A success I had is my values video I made with my friend. i learnt a lot about the waitangi from our puzzle piece we worked on. I am looking towards Mahi Tahi and working with a new group.

Week 1 reflection

 At the start of the week i felt nervous but exited, nervous because i was scared that all my friends were gonna be from me but happy because it was my first day as a senior.

The highlight of my the week was going to the first school mass.

Something i found challenging was getting into a new class and school routine.

I am really looking forward to a great year and new things to learn!

blog comparson

 On Monday me and my class were comparing   our old blog post and our newest blog post. For my old one i picked me first ever blog post in 2019 and my new one was my marvel movie matron.We did arrows pointed to what we did in our old one that we dont do now also what we can fix in our old one. by far my blog post have changed a lot!

 This week our class learned about angles. we learnt that angels is something that can look like an L or a sideways v , and the corner were v and L connect is called a insection.  after learning what angles were we got a protractor and learn how they can help us learn how to measure and tell the degrees of them. then we sat on the step outside our class and then went and groups to look for angles i found a lot of  right angels  some an acute angles and not that much  of obtuse angles.

  Today my class and I went to lake Ngatu to plant 1000 plants. The plants were cabbage tree, mānuka,kānuka,flax,karaka and houpara. To plant all of that took us just over an hour.The summit forest and bushland trust was a very big help  for us . The reason we planted was that we have been learning about rainforests and trees so it tied in with our learning to also help our community.When we got there Karen came to tell us what we will be doing after that we got right into it. Me and my  friend were the first to plant. We pumped about that after 2 hrs of planting. We were DONE then we went to have a picnic and then headed back to school. That was the best day ever and a memory I will never forget.

My Rainfrosets Information😁😊

Last week we did work around Rainforest,
one of the tasks were for us to pick a rainforest plant leaf and draw it by pressing lightly on the piece of paper. We didn't just draw the leaves in one direction we did it  in different direction and also maybe put one on top of the other. We coloured in with wax crayons and learnt to shade - darker makes it look further away and lighter is closer. Then when we were done colouring it  in we used dye for the background then picked a bird.   I chose a  keel billed toucan. We did the same with the leaves drew lightly, then coloured it in then we cut it out and used the scraps from the extra pieces of paper to make it look 3D, Here's my one .The next task was a poster explaining about endangered animals why trees are being cut down and stuff linked with the Rainfrosets. We could do a slide, padlet ,doc, poster anything . Me Taryn and Leticey  did a slide and a padlet.
                                                                                                                                                           

powerful paragraphs!!

Lately we have been doing powerful paragraphs, This is basically its when we get a picture of something than we write a detailed paragraphs based on the picture. When we write the paragraphs we have to remember to use punctuation  and cops and mims and similes and metaphors if we want to make it better. we can write as the person or whats gonna happened.  We usually get about 10 minutes to write and when were done writing. We share our paragraphs to the class to see how other  people would put it . We will do this in the morning as a  warm up before our contracts. we have done 3 in the last week. Here is one of mine.

While i have been at home with my family, we have been planting in our spare time the things we have been planting is tomato , pumpkin,chilli,silver beat ,lettuce,beetroot,carrot and onion.  None of our plants have became a food for now they are just seedlings.  Every morning my dad will go and check them out . Our first one to start growing  is silver beat and last one chilli. Were we put our plants is the glass conservatory  but some or them are being planted outside. We started planting them on the first day of lock down. Planting seeds are very fun it has gave us something to do instead of just setting down the whole day.

The marvel movie marathon

While I have been in lock down with my mum,dad,and my brother's we have started a movie Marathon. The movies we are watching are the Marvel movies and there are 23 movies at the moment but still more to come in the future. We only have to watch 2 more and then we are finished. The ones we need to watch is endgame and spider man: far from home. My favourite movies we have watched is Thor Ragnarok, both Guardians of the galaxy and then all the Spidermans. Most of the movies go for about 2 hrs so we have been watching about 1 per day/night but have missed some days. When we first started I didnt really like them but now I do.

This is just to say about my poem

Last week Mrs Cutler gave  us a task to do a poem by William Carlos William. but not any poem a poem of something we had to confess and the thing you needed to confess could been when you were a baby or maybe yesterday. we started but had to remember  to use  the same words William did to start the sentences  and after writing the poem   we had transfer the writing on a slide , then we added a image for the background but the image had to be linked to our poem.Then we finished, I think I did a successful poem  but i would change some words to a higher level of writing.
